Kids Centerpieces Crafts

Kids Centerpieces Crafts

Help your children create kid-approved table centerpieces for holidays, birthdays or other special events. These creations feature homemade crafts, vases and flowers that match your child's favorite color. Create table decor that displays your child's love for animals or festive designs to match the party. A Mexican-themed kids' party might include a centerpiece showcasing a sombrero, maracas and red, green and orange confetti in the middle of the table.

Lollipop Table Centerpiece

Help your kids create a lollipop centerpiece for a birthday or candy-themed party. Buy small white tin buckets or white round plastic vases. Fill the containers up with candy hearts, red hots and other candy pieces. Feature three or more of these vases on each table at the party. Place three large rainbow lollipops in the middle and then surround those with smaller red, green and pink lollipops. Showcase different variations for other types of parties. You might want to feature ladybug lollipops inside black and red polka-dot containers for a bug-themed party. These treats come in all sorts of flavors and shapes to match nearly any theme.

Baby Bird's Nest

The kids might also want to make a baby bird's nest centerpiece. Buy nests at your local craft store and help the kids paint tiny fake eggs pink or blue. The kids can also make nests by stacking and gluing sticks on top of a circular piece of cardboard. Place tiny stuffed birds inside the nest as well. This centerpiece works well for a spring- or bird-themed party.

Princess Jewel Theme

Help your little girl decorate a princess jewel-themed centerpiece for her birthday party. Place a large crystal bowl or vase in the middle of the table and fill it with fake gem stones, silver necklaces, rings and gold chains. Place a tiara on the edge of the vase or inside the bowl if it's large enough. Adorn the border of the centerpiece with more jewelry. You can also feature pony figurines around the vase or bowl for a pony-theme princess party.

A Rainbow of Flowers

Encourage your kids to design a rainbow flower centerpiece. Help them paint tiny rainbows or rainbow stripes on a ceramic vase. Then take the kids to the store to select colorful flowers to showcase in their decorated vase, such as yellow roses, pink daises or tropical flowers. Sprinkle rose petals around the centerpiece along with rainbow buttons and pendants.
