Weddings can be expensive and it may be preferable to craft your own centerpieces to lower the cost of your reception. There are a wide range of do-it-yourself centerpiece project ideas available online, each of which is appropriate for wedding receptions.
Flower Pedals and Candles
Take a clear glass and place it in the center of the table. Fill a clear bowl with water and set it on top of the glass. Select some attractive floating candles and some rose pedals (or pedals of your choice). Finally, place the floating candles and pedals in the water.
Sparkling Glass Baubles
Purchase at least 10 sparkling glass baubles and one short length of decorative lights for each centerpiece you will need. Put baubles in the bowl. Thread the lights among the baubles. Be sure to hide as much of the cord as possible. Plug in the lights and enjoy!
Flower Pots
Purchase small, plain flower pots in the colors of your choice. Decorate these pots with acrylic paint, ribbons and bows. Use your favorite kind of material. Attractive options include silk, lace and velvet.
