How to Design a Craft Show Display

When selling your wares it is important to design a craft show display that is worthy of what you are selling. A cheap plastic tablecloth simply won't do if you are selling expensive pottery or hand-sewn clothing. Learn how to properly design a craft show display in the guide below.

Instructions

    1

Layer your table with shelving at different levels. Leave space available to set things flat on the table as well. However, make sure you have two to three levels above the table. You want to aim to have items at the customer's eye level.

    2

Cover the table with a plain, white tablecloth. Use decorative tablecloths with patterned or seasonal designs to cover the shelving on the table.

    3

Use baskets to hold smaller items, such as handmade cards or polymer clay jewelry. Display large items upright so customers have a full view of each item.

    4

Add decorative touches according to the season or holiday. In the fall you might want to add dried leaves, pumpkins and pine cones to your table. Perhaps during the winter holiday season you could add snowmen, holly berry leaves and pine garland. Add fresh flowers during the spring and seashells in the summer.

    5

Always practice setting up your display at home prior to a craft show. Make sure everything has a place on the table and shelving.
