How to Clean a Massage Table Warmer

A massage table warmer is a nice addition to your massage therapy practice. These pads are generally a bit smaller than a standard massage table and use electric power to make the pad warm. This keeps massage clients warm and comfortable on the table without the need for multiple blankets. Massage table warmers are easy to clean by hand. It's important to remember that because they are electric, it's never a good idea to toss it into a washing machine or even submerse it into a sink or bathtub.

Instructions

    1

Turn off the massage table warmer before washing. Also, unplug the unit from the wall to avoid electric shocks.

    2

Mix a small amount of mild detergent with room temperature water. Dip a sponge or clean towel in this mixture and squeeze to remove excess water.

    3

Blot soiled areas of the massage table water with the sponge, rubbing gently over particularly dirty areas.

    4

Use a different sponge or towel to rinse the massage table warmer. Dip this towel in clean room temperature water and blot over areas you have just cleaned to rinse.

    5

Hang the massage table warmer to dry over a drying rack, railing or clothesline. Never put table warmers in the dryer. Allow it to drip dry instead.
