How to Clean Dining Seat Pads

How to Clean Dining Seat Pads

The cushioned seat pads on dining room chairs are used often, showing significant wear and tear. Stains from spilled food and drink can prematurely decay the cushions' fabric; mold and dust mites can also settle into dirty seat pads. Keeping dining seats clean will help keep your kitchen sparkling and make your chairs look their very best. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Vacuum cloth seats with the sweeper set on a low level of suction to remove all dust and debris without damaging the seat pads.

    2

Hold the fabric upholstery cleaner spray can 6-inches away from the seat pad fabric. Spray in a smooth and continuous motion until the seat pad is completely covered.

    3

Scrub the upholstery cleaning foam into the fabric with the scrub brush. Spend extra time and effort scrubbing stained spots off of the seats.

    4

Let the foam dry completely and then vacuum the upholstered fabric surface with the sweeper set on its lowest power.

    5

If the seat pads are vinyl covered instead of fabric, wipe them off with the soft cloth, spray a light coating of vinyl cleaner onto the surface, and wipe off with the soft cloth.
