Ideas for Frog Centerpieces

Ideas for Frog Centerpieces

A frog-inspired table centerpiece will make a whimsical addition to a rain-forest- or nature-themed birthday party. If you're hosting a party for young children, a charming frog centerpiece will hold their attention throughout dinner. Create the table decor using a mix of store-bought, natural and craft items for a one-of-a-kind design.

Frog-Inspired Cupcake Centerpiece

Create charming frog-inspired cupcakes to serve as a table centerpiece as well as party desserts or favors. Display the charming cupcakes on a tiered cake stand in the center of the table and instruct guests to take them after dinner or before leaving the party. If you're using the treats as favors, provide guests with take-away boxes for convenient transport. To create the goodies, frost vanilla or chocolate cupcakes with light blue frosting to resemble water. For each cupcake, cut a large green gumdrop in half. Insert the tips of white chocolate chips into the bottom of each gum drop half, and place a dot of black icing on the chips to resemble frogs' eyes. Arrange two decorated gumdrop halves on each frosted cupcake to appear as frog eyes looking over the surface of water.

Froggy Flowers

As a simple table centerpiece, fill a frog-inspired vase with fresh flowers. Purchase a green ceramic frog-shaped vase featuring an open-mouth design. As another option, decorate a plain green ceramic vase with a rain forest frog design using a small brush and vibrantly hued acrylic paint. You can use a frog-shaped stencil to create a perfect pattern. As a glamorous touch, create the frog design by gluing green flat-backed beads to the vase. Fill the vase with water and a handful of bright flowers, such as pink, orange and yellow tulips or daisies.

Lily Pad Decor

Kids will love lily-pad-shaped table decor featuring toy frogs. To create the centerpiece, cut lily pad shapes out of green card stock or construction paper. Cut one paper lily pad for each child. Cover the lily pads with a coating of craft glue and sprinkle them with iridescent or green glitter to create shimmer. Cover the table with a light blue tablecloth to resemble a pond or lake. Purchase plastic frog-shaped toys from a toy store or an online retailer. Place a dab of glue on the bottom of each toy and press them onto the lily pads. Arrange the lily pads in the middle of the table and instruct each guest to take one at the end of the party as a favor.
